That is cool.
[Reviewer 2]
It feels so real. I, I feel that I have the woman in front of me for real.
[Reviewer 3]
Wow. That's something.
[Reviewer 4]
Wow. Whoa. Whoa.
[Reviewer 5]
[screams] [laughs]
[Reviewer 1]
You are there. There's no, there's no way about it. [laughs] Like...
[Reviewer 3]
Very touching.
[Reviewer 2]
This is how we're going to watch movies in the theater. [laughs]

To, like, take that off and it now be here in this room was like... I felt like I was somewhere else for a second there, and now I'm back here. I'm in reality. Um, it just lets your mind-

One of my favorite things about immersive cinema is witnessing people's reactions to their perspectives changing, experiencing being in the center of a story, quite literally. Welcome to The Immersive Review, a place where we explore immersive cinema and celebrate the creative minds who are making it all happen. And welcome to our studio. It's a bit bare right now, but we're working on it. Consider this episode zero, where I'm going walk you through what to expect from an episode of The Immersive Review. Here's how it works. Each episode is dedicated to one immersive film. It could be spatial, it could be 180-degree or 360-degree immersion, or it could be immersive interactive. We introduce the film, and then we interview the filmmaker, and then we do something a little different when it comes to our reviews. Instead of a single voice speaking on behalf of a film, we bring a series of people from all walks of life. These are the people who experience the film and react to it in real time, and then they reflect on what they've just been part of.
That's how we review on The Immersive Review. And everything we make, all of it, is going to be in 2D format as well as spatial, and when needed, 180-degree and 360-degree immersive. And all of it takes place in our studio. I'll be interviewing immersive filmmakers around the world right here.
So, why are we doing this? In October 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of attending Apple's Create Immersive Experiences event in Cupertino, California. There, I met several amazing Creative Technologists and Immersive Filmmakers, all creating amazing immersive storytelling works. However, most people that I know of outside of the immersive industry, or those who may not own an immersive headset, may have never heard of any of these immersive films before.
Our aim with The Immersive Review is to familiarize people from all walks of life with immersive cinema.
Each review, each discussion, each deep dive, it's all going be in service of one question: What is it like to be inside a story? and what does it mean when an immersive filmmaker gets that right? So, that's what this is. It's part review, part discussion, part love letter to a medium that is still figuring out what it wants to be. So, whether you're a longtime fan of immersive films, or perhaps maybe you're somebody who's never worn an immersive headset in your life, or perhaps maybe you're a filmmaker and you're wondering if immersive is best for your next project, The Immersive Review is for you.
Welcome.
